How verification works
Every review and every customer logo on Signed Reviews is signed by a Stripe payment. No charge, no claim.
- ① The customer pays via Stripe
A merchant connects their Stripe account to Signed Reviews with read-only access. We see verified charges; we never see card data and never move money.
- ② Stripe confirms the charge
When a charge succeeds, Stripe sends us a signed webhook with the charge ID and the customer's email. That's the verification primitive.
- ③ The review is signed with that proof
When the customer signs in, we match their email to verified charges across every merchant on Signed Reviews. They can review only what they actually paid for. Refunds invalidate verification.
What we never do
- · Aggregate a company's purchase history publicly
- · Let merchants edit their listing — every field is from Stripe
- · Accept reviews without a verified payment
- · See or store credit card data
